If you can’t define success, you can’t hire for it. A leadership scorecard turns opinions into measurable outcomes.
What a CEO-level scorecard includes
Business outcomes (revenue, margin, market share, cost, cash).
Operating outcomes (cycle time, quality, supply resilience, compliance).
People outcomes (team capability, retention of key talent, succession bench).
Stakeholder outcomes (HQ alignment, JV/partner stability, government relations where relevant).
How to use the scorecard in the search
Translate each outcome into evidence you can test in interviews.
Ask for comparable results in comparable constraints (not just ‘big numbers’).
Use the scorecard to align interviewers and reduce bias.
Carry the scorecard into onboarding and quarterly reviews.
A scorecard doesn’t slow a search down—it speeds decision-making up and improves post-hire performance.
